Implications: Importance

Hypothalamus Pituitary Adrenal (HPA) axis is known to be dysregulated in the presence of ethanol. The study of acute and chronic ethanol of sgk1 transcription in the prefrontal cortex expanded the knowledge on pathways effect by alcohol. The information gathered have contributed to improving and development of treatments to treat alcohol. Further studies recommend taking a better look PFC gene expression network. This will give show how sgk1 is related to other genes. Furthermore, how their expression levels effect/correlate with sgk1.
