Implications: Protein-Protein Interactions
All four of these proteins are seen as potential targets HPr could have interacted with; the steady state kinetics measured that HPr has direct interactions with PykF, PfkB, and NagB by allosterically regulating them, while HPr-P had direct interactions witj Adk by allosterically inhibition. These protein-protein interactions were seen through a rise in actitivity in the presence of HPr or HPr-P versus the absence. All of these enzymes are activated by HPr or HPr-P, as it is always present when there is a rise in activity.
