Background

Ernest F. Martin (Ernie) is an associate professor in the School of Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching public relations.

Previously Martin was assistant dean, College of Communication and Media Sciences, Zayed University (United Arab Emirates), department chair, Department of Communication Studies, Hong Kong Baptist University, and a faculty member at Campbell University, Syracuse University, University of Kansas and Iowa State University.

Martin, who worked professionally for more than 10 years with Cox Enterprises, Koplar Communications and Frank Magid Associates, continues to consult with USA and international clients.
