About me
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Commonwealth University. I founded and lead the Mobile Systems and Intelligent Communication (MuSIC) Lab. I received my M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science, University of Maryland, College Park. Before VCU, I was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Interdisciplinary Program Director of the ODU Center for Cybersecurity Education and Research at Old Dominion University. I was also a research scientist at Siemens Corporate Technology in Princeton, NJ, USA.

My research interests cover several aspects of wireless networking and mobile computing systems including smart wireless systems, mobile & edge computing, software-defined networks, network security and privacy, Internet-of-things & smart city systems, vehicular networks, intelligent transportation systems, and location determination systems. You can find a list of my publications here.

For Prospective Students: I'm always looking for motivated undergraduate/graduate students with a strong background in computer networks and systems. If you are a VCU student interested in doing quality research in wireless networks and mobile computing, feel free to stop by my office. If not, I encourage you to apply. Feel free to contact me.
