My favorite hobby is genealogy. I strive to discover who my ancestors were and how they lived. It is always an ongoing pursuit, made slow and difficult because I work full time. I have a large collection of information and plan to continue researching in the years to come, and hope to put it all or at least some of it in a book one day as a legacy to my children and relatives who are interested.

Another hobby I enjoy is doll collection. When I first started collecting as a novice, I bought many types of dolls, some of which were not particularly good quality. Over the years I've learned to be more discerning in my collection and have weeded out those blunders of my early years. I have recently been acquiring Marie Osmond 7 inch minitures. I currently have 9 of them. When collecting dolls, space can become a huge problem, hence I've resorted to minitures these days.

Photography is one of my passions. I love to take photos of trips, family, and landscapes. It is so much easier to get beautiful pictures today with digital cameras. I currently have two, one of which is small and always in my purse in case I see something intriquing on my daily adventures in the world. My husband, Mike, is often a subject, not always happily, of my practicing.

Mike continues to remain cancer free 3 years after undergoing intensive radiation and chemo treatments. He now suffers with a nerve and muscle disease, but despite this, he strives to live a full and adventuresome life.
I also spend a large amount of time collecting and restoring old photographs. It is unfortunate in a lot of cases that old photos cannot be restored with clarity, but I have had tremendous success with many of them and keep striving for perfection.

I have studied Web Development using Dreamweaver (CSS, XML, & Javascript), Flash, and Fireworks. I hope to help others as a web site designer and developer.
