VCU EngineeringSmart Material Laboratory is a part of the Mechanical Engineering department at Virginia Commonwealth University located in Richmond, Virginia. This laboratory conducts research in the field of Smart Materials and Structures. SML is involved in material characterization, design of sensors and actuators, energy harvesting and flow control projects.
