- Energy Spectra for Medical Accelerators
- Mohan Spectra: Radhe Mohan et. al published energy spectra (Med. Phys. 12, 1985) for a variety of medical accelerators. These were digitized by Rogers et al and included in the BEAM/EGS4 distribution. They are distributed here (along with the other spectra distributed in BEAM/EGS4) with the kind permission from D.W.O. Rogers ( Various Energy Spectra )
- NRC-Canada: G.X. Ding and D.W.O. Rogers from the National Research Council of Canada has created energy spectra for electron modes for a variety of accelerators (see PIRS439). A script to convert these files (assumed to be separated into individual .txt files), to BEAM/dosxyz input formats in available here: convert_to_EGS_format.

Phase space data for a Varian 21EX (6 MV and 18 MV)
We have generated phase space data for our MCV Monte Carlo dose calculations for the the Varian 21EX. Our accelerator parameters (electron energy incident on the target, energy spread, source size) were adjusted to match the depth-dose and lateral profile data in the Varian "gold standard" data set. (This is a CD distributed by Varian when you buy an accelerator that has anticipated performance data. Contact Varian if you would like a copy of the CD). We directly use the phase space data for our simulations. For each energy, these phase space files exceeds 1 GB in size. Thus, we will distribute portions of these files on CD's to those who are interested. Please contact us if you would like these files. - Converting block profiles into a format acceptable for BEAM (eliminates angles greater than 90) (available on request)
- Converting absorbed dose to material to absorbed dose to water for Monte Carlo dose calculations (available on request)
- Converting EGS4 .3ddose file to a binary format and reading this data into the ADAC Pinnacle3 treatment planning system (available on requrest)
- dosxyz_to_pinnacle: This program converts .3ddose files created by dosxyz into binary files that are readable by the Phillip's Pinnacle3 treatment planning system.
