"The challenge for the artist is to create new forms of expression, yet pay homage to the past. My art is Fauvist inspired, exploring both complexities and ambiguities of color and space. I am able to consider traditional, formal concerns through elements of realism and abstraction. My style is unpredictable, utilizing as it does techniques of arbitrary color and unusual perspective. With this freedom, I can deal with traditional issues in a contemporary manner."
