The NanoMan Laboratory is a state-of-the-art research facility with the mission of investigating materials, tools, and techniques for enabling three dimensional intergraded structures, devices and systems at the nanoscale.

Objectives

Our objective is to give a better understanding of exact what Nanotechnology is to the people of Richmond and the students, faculty, and staff of Virginia Commonwealth University.

 Research Areas

In the NanoMan Lab at VCU our research is mainly focused on the creation of nanodots and the formation of nanowires. These two special substances will be used to create substantially larger objects. More.

 Nanotechnology

It is basically understanding and controlling matter that measures at a scale of 1 to 100 nanometers so that unique experiences can make different possible functions. Or in a much simpler matter, the engineering of tiny machines. More.

 Nanomanufacturing

The creation of different structures by starting from the inside (nano size) and working your way out (micro size and beyond). This process is used instead of starting with a larger substance and breaking it down to the size required. More.
