Numerical Solution of Biologically-Based Differential Equations
Abstract: From disease processes and treatments, to animal movement and human physiology, mathematical models can reveal underlying structures that had previously been elusive. I will discuss the process of working with biological collaborators to develop differential equations based models of biological dynamics from the cellular level to the organism level and the tools and techniques used to solve and analyze them. I will highlight simulation results and discuss ongoing challenges and questions.
