Computationally Hard Problems - and What is Important in Mathematics

Abstract: In this talk I will discuss one example of a computationally hard problem - and the very interesting question of what is important in mathematics. Students need to be aware that there is no definition of what is "important,"  that other people's opinion of what is important will effect their careers, and that they need to think very clearly about what their goals are.
