Why Vaccinate? A Mathematical Model explanation
Abstract: Currently in the United States, there is an
Anti-Vaccine Movement causing major health threats globally. The World
Health Organization categorizes it as one of the top 10 global health
threats for 2019. Many of these followers believe vaccines are unsafe and
enforcing vaccinations violates their rights. We will investigate the
detrimental effects of anti-vaxers and why vaccines should be enforced,
using simplistic differential equations explored with Susceptible,
Infectious, and Recovered (SIR) models and their expansions.
