Chapter 10: Proc Means and Proc Univariate
Simple summary statistics may be produced by several SAS procedures. Proc Means produces means, standard deviations, and several other measures. One can easily produce summaries for several variables classified by unique combinations of other variables.

Proc Univariate is best used for single variables. This procedure produces tons of summary measures, including percentiles and crude plots.
