018.2 Spring and Neap Tides

Spring tides occur at either the Full Moon or the New Moon.

During a spring tide, the high tide is extra high and the low tide is extra low.

Neap tides occur at either the First Quarter or the Third Quarter Moon.

During a neap tide, the high tide is not as high as usual and the low tide is not as low as usual.
