The Graffiti Research Lab is an organization devoted to equipping artists, graffitists, and protesters with tools and technologies for their work in public domain. Participants of the group experiment both in a lab and in the field, installing pieces in municipal spaces. Graffiti Research Lab was originally established in Brooklyn in 2005 and now there are extensions located in Vienna, Amsterdam, and Mexico.

TRAIN BOMBINGS: Graffiti Research Lab prepared thousands of LED "throwies" to beautify a train at night in Linz, Austria. "Throwies" are made of a magnet, a lithium battery, and a diffused LED light taped together. Graffiti Research Lab is most known for inventing "throwies" and installing them in civic areas and distributing them to bystanders to participate.
