The Questions
Don't try to answer these questions purely on the basis of how they sound to you.
Looking at Course at a Glance would be a good source of information.
  1. This course is all about my doing everything on my own. If I'm not comfortable programming a computer or if I think I'm going to encounter other things I can't figure out on my own, it's better if I drop the course now.

  2. The purpose of this course is to allow me to absorb enough information about molecular biology and bioinformatics so that I can get a good score on a future professional school exam.

  3. Three unexcused absences from class will roast my coals.

  4. It is of utmost importance that I purchase the textbook by the end of the first week and do all the assigned readings within it.

  5. If I don't submit a questionnaire for some reason, it is imperative that do so no later than two days after the class for which it was intended.

  6. I understand that the boundaries for A, B, C, and D grades are 90, 80, 65, and 50, respectively, although curving at the end of the semester may be necessary.

  7. The prime road to success is for me to take careful notes during daily lectures.

  8. Sometimes the text may be a bit off, but I can always count on what the teacher of this course says as being correct.

  9. I really appreciate the convenience of whoever wrote this exam putting complicated and sometimes ambiguous statements in my mouth.

  10. Please compare and contrast the natures of problem sets and exams in this course, including the role of collaboration.

  11. Please provide a brief summary of what is required to pass this course and the relationship of these requirements to the specific course objectives

  12. If you have anything else you'd like to say, here's your chance (well, one of many). For example, do you now see something not already present that may help you gain what you want from from this course?
