Final Exam - Why is it by invitation? |
Spring 2010
|
In most cases, I think it best that class participants spend all available time working on the final project. A final exam would be a distraction from the more important work. However, by the end of the semester (only days away) I need to provide the university with a final grade, and there are some participants from whom I need more information apart from what I can gain from a report. It is for them that the final exam is offered.
You have received or will soon receive either an invitation to attend the exam or a notice that your presence is not necessary. If you haven't received either, patience. If it is later than noon, Thursday, May 6, then enough patience. Maybe there was an oversight.
If you were invited, please RSVP by Sunday, May 9. I think it is in your best interests to come.
If you were not invited but have the desire to take a final exam anyway, I don't feel I can refuse, though I suspect that it would be a waste of time for both of us. If you want to take the exam, then notify me of your desire by Sunday, May 9.
