WARNING! Please don't use double quoatation marks in your answers.
(The questionnaire program dies when it encounters them!)
Spring 2010

I. Basic Information

A. Your name

B. Your initial reactions to BioBIKE are the most valuable to those who are developing the resource for use by researchers inexperienced in computer programming. Would you be willing to send in your BioBIKE log (template available here) as soon as you can, preferably by the end of Tuesday, Feb 2?

C. How far have you gotten in the tour, What is a Gene?
(You can answer by referring to the last item you addressed (e.g. III.3).

D. How far have you gotten in the tour of Belasco et al (Differential expression...)?

E. How far have you gotten in the tour, Alien Genetic Code?

F. General comments on tours:

II. Specific problems
A. List here specific questions you may have about a problem in the Molecular Biology problem set.
Questions might be of the form "To answer question A, I need to know X, but I don't".

B. List here specific questions raised while working through What is a gene?, particularly concepts that you don't feel comfortable with. If you haven't yet offered your best thoughts on what you think a gene is, here is a good opportunity.

C. How comfortable are you with the genome coordinate system used in What is a gene?

D. List here specific questions raised while working through Belasco et al (Differential expression of photosynthesis genes) and particularly concepts that you don't feel comfortable with.
Also, have you found any useful resource to help explain S1 protection?

E. List here specific questions raised while working through Alien Genetic Code, particularly concepts that you don't feel comfortable with.

F. We'll look at Problem Set 2 more closely in lab, but please list here any initial questions or problems you may have had looking over that problem set

III. Miscellaneous

Put here any miscellaneous comments, questions, suggestions, concerns you may have. You might also comment here on the pace and utility of recent class discussions and any suggestions you may have in this area.

Thanks!
