BNFO 301
Introduction to Bioinformatics
Topic: Introduction to Course
Spring 2008

Rationale
Computer programming is necessary for creative genomic analysis, a major focus of this course, and necessary to make significant progress in the research project that will occupy a good portion of your time. Unfortunately, conventional programming languages are not easy for those without prior computing experience to learn, and it is unlikely that such a person would be able to use one to make significant progress in the research project. BioBIKE offers biologists easy access to the power of computing.
