Problem Sets Study Questions |
Problem sets and study questions lie at the heart of this course. Much time will be spent in class on them, and I expect that you'll spend even more time out of class. I encourage you to hand in your responses to problem sets, particularly to those questions you're unsure about. But problem sets will not be graded (but see discussion of exams). |
Exams | Each exam counts equally, with weighting factors of 22. |
Research Project | The research project, including the final symposium presentation, has a weighting factor of 22. |
Mentoring Project | The mentoring project will be evaluated mostly for effort and has a weighting factor of 12. |
Attendance | Come and go as you think best. |
Class Discussion | Discussion is important to make this course work, but only you can decide how fired up you are to participate. |
Final Grade | A weighted average of all exams and projects, which you can calculate yourself: |
