Nadia is from this
fantastic country called France where she did her undergrads and
masters. She majored in molecular biology and biochemistry in
her undergrads and studied parasitology during her MSc. She
received her PhD from the University of Glasgow, Scotland where
she studied the role of proline dehydrogenase in the energy
metabolism of Trypanosoma brucei. Currently she is
working as a post doctoral research fellow. Her work focuses on
ceramide kinase and the role of this enzyme in inflammatory
disease states.
In
her spare time (what spare time, I am
always working in lab!), Nadia volunteers in the
ER and her hobbies include playing tennis
(or trying to), going to the cinema
(French Films, of course), and eating good food
(French, of course, and French Fries are not French!)
