Andreea graduated
from medical school at “Ovidius” University of Constanta
in Romania. Starting July 2003, she was recruited by
Virginia Commonwealth University Reanimation Engineering
Shock Center (VCURES), for a post-doctoral program
sponsored by the Office of Naval Research, “Effects of
Androstenetriol (AET) Induced Immunomodulation in the
Treatment of Traumatic Shock”. Her work focused on
rodent survival studies in trauma-hemorrhage and shock
models.
Currently, she is
continuing her work as a post-doctoral research fellow,
focusing on the alternative splicing of caspase 9 and
Bcl-x in response to signaling.
Her hobbies
include outdoor activities, playing tennis, foreign
languages. Although I am from Romania, I am NOT
a vampire!!
