Research interests

My research focuses on the endogenous cannabinoid system, and how endocannabinoids modulate behaviors related to food preference and models of emotionality.  Although it has been well established that Δ9-THC, the primary psychoactive constituent of marijuana, increases feeding behaviors, and that blocking the CB1 cannabinoid receptor decreases food consumption, much less is know about how endocannabinoids affect preference for different types of foods.
