My appointment
at Virginia
Commonwealth University, which is in Richmond, Virginia, was in the
Department of Statistical Sciences & Operations Research.
Before coming to VCU in 1987, I was a faculty member for 15
years in the Department
of Mathematics at Texas
Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. I was
an assistant professor at Western
Carolina University for one year (1971-1972), and prior
to that, I enjoyed my years as a graduate student in Statistical
Science at Southern
Methodist University, in Dallas, Texas. I was a part time instructor
for two years at SMU, and was a graduate teaching assistant
at WTAMU
in Canyon, Texas for the 1964-1965 academic year. I worked
for Texas Instruments from 1965 to 1967.
On May 15, 2008, I retired from VCU and moved to Peachtree
City, GA. If you would like to contact me, please use my VCU
email address (jdavenpo@vcu.edu).
It remains active, and I check it frequently.
