    You are responsible for homework even if you miss a class -
    if you miss the assignment, check online to see what it is.
    If you are going to be absent when it is due, give the homework to someone to turn in for you.

    CLASS 1- introduction to University & Class Guidelines/attendance/Materials

    Introduction to figure drawing - gesture drawings & short poses.

    Introduction to drawing the skeleton.

    CLASS 2 - continue easel drawing; continue drawing of nude model.

    First homework - will be discussed in class; also posted online

    CLASS 3 - continue to draw the nude model - more brief "gesture
    drawings". Also 5 - 20 minute poses.

    CLASS 4 - Begin with gesture drawings, continue with 15 - 20 minute poses.

    Introduction to foreshortening and Life Study of the Hand

    Second homework - will be discussed in class; also posted online

    CLASS 5 - Begin with gesture drawings, continue with 20 - 25 minute poses.

    Continue with foreshortening; intro. to drawing the face

    CLASS 6 - continue with 20 - 30 minute poses;
    Third homework     will be assigned and posted online.

    CLASS 7 - long pose (seated).

    CLASS 8 - long pose continued. Continue drawing the skeleton.
    Fourth homework (Muscle Chart) will be assigned and posted online

    CLASS 9 - long pose (reclining/foreshortened). Review of drawings of the Muscle Chart.

    CLASS 10 - long pose concluded. Final Review/Critique
